Have you always wondered what clicking the middle mouse button did in Minesweeper? I certainly have, so I'll just assume the same for you.
The middle click is an integral part of the Windows ® Minesweeper gameplay experience. It is essentially what sets the pros apart from the amateurs, and gives them an upper edge in the game. It reveals all the unrevealed and unmarked squares around a number. Let me demonstrate.
Here we have a sample Minesweeper grid, a few seconds into the game, and we have just uncovered a huge open area.

Next we mark all the mines we can identify.

Now it's time to apply our newly learned middle click skill (alternatively you can click both the right and left button at the same time). Notice how there are no mines in the three squares surrounding the 2 in the bottom left corner, let's middle click it!
